Devikulam

History: Beautiful hill station located in the lap of Idukki District that is 16 km from Munnar that forms its place in the Southern State of Kerela in India, and it is above 1800 m sea level, a wonderful picnic spot that gives you a chance to refresh yourself in so my new ways,as per the legends Goddess Sita Devi took bath in the refreshing lake waters of Devikulam and that lake is now named as Sita Devi Lake.

Nelelakurinji, the flower that bathes the hills,Eravikulam National park,Kumily located at a distance of 4 Km from Thekkady, u can enjoy jungle walks also, Manglam Devi Temple is really magnificent on 'Chaitra Pournami' a festival occurs here.Another place is Marayur that has got 'Sannyasi Caves , it is a Sandal Forest. Moolamattom an Electricity generating project. Idukki that has got dam and Wild life Sanctuary and Rajamala a part of National park

How to get there: Well the weather is pleasant all over the tar and you can enjoy the cold breeze , if you want to reach Devikulam you are suppose to climb a steep mountain track, from Kochi distance is 149 km and Kottayam 132 km and takes 4 and ½ hours 4 hrs respectively.
