Heaven on Earth Sri Nagar

The capital of Jammu Kashmir and proclaimed as the “Heaven on Earth”, Sri Nagar is the most beautiful palce in India. It lies in the northern region and thus has very cold climate. The city remains hidden by snow during winters and the rest of the year the weather is pleasant and cold. It is also called the Switzerland of India due to its natures blessings. The place is a hilly region and the major population of the area is Muslims.

Sri nagar has very popular Dal lake which freezes during winters, it is then used for ice skating. Shikaras are well known attraction in the lake, these are boat houses which are available on rent for visitors.It provides and overwhelming experience to live on waters and boats during your vacations. Jhelum River runs through out the city and the place has splendid valley's all around. The city has nine ancient bridges which connect the two parts of the city.

Sri Nagar in the past remained isolated because of regular terror attacks but now it has been opened for visitors. Due care is taken by the government to avoid any mishap. Flower farming is another attraction of the place where you can see huge farms filled with beautiful flowers.The best time to visit the place is May-June and it could be reached by Bus, Train and Air.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg is one place which is quite famous for its lustrous beauty and heavenly atmosphere. It is situated in the Baramulla District and is 57 kms form Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and kashmir. Gulmarg is well known for its grassy hills, splendid landscape, flower farms and snow hidden mountains. Mughal Emparor Jahngir was so impressed by the beauty of Gulmarg that he chose to make it, his place of rendezvous.

Gulmarg has world famous hill resorts and the major attraction of the area is a Golf Course which is situated at the height of 2650 m, which is the highest Golf course in the world. The City also attracts tourists who are intersted in skiing. It is one place which has world class Skiing landscape and facilities.

Khilanmarg is the skiing spot and offers a marvelous view of Himalayan mountains. Alphater lake is another popular tourist spot which is about 13 kms away from Gulmarg.

Air and Rail facilities are available till Srinagar and from there regular bus facilities are offered to reach Gulmarg. The best time to visit Gulmarg is November to February for skiing, for the rest of the year the weather in Gulmarg remains pleasant.

Queen of Hills Massorie

One of the most popular Hill station in Northern India is Massorie and it is due to its astounding beauty that the place is popularly known as the "Queen of the Hills".Massorie is 250 kms away from Delhi and the way to the city goes through the valley, which makes the journey even more refreshing. The elevation of the city from the sea level is 7000 feet which is the reason why the wheater remain cold and winters and pleasant during summers.
